Young Blue Minds
A traveling live meeting, with activities at sea and in contact with the local community to build the Ocean Generation by creating a network of young Young Blue Minds between 18 and 35 years old.
Young Blue Minds: a day among biologists, chemists, physicists, engineers, but also artists, artisans, visual artists, entrepreneurs, startuppers, photographers, creatives and athletes. A live, outdoor meeting to talk about our Blue Planet together with 15 people between 18 and 35 years old. The only requirement: to love the sea and to want to act to bring about change!
Between activities at sea and in contact with local communities, we create a network, enhance the local ecosystem and strengthen the bonds between people with the aim of creating and inspiring a new Ocean Generation that collaborates and supports each other to achieve the objectives of the Decade of the Sea and the 2030 Agenda.
The day also includes a moment of exchange in which 2 projects will be selected that will be presented by their respective teams and will be the subjects of debate and collection of advice and feedback from the public.
The selected and discussed projects will be added to a virtual ‘logbook’ on the Mediterranean of the Sea Decade platform with the aim of creating a network of young minds dedicated to the sea, giving them visibility and new opportunities for collaboration.
Each stage will see the participation of a more senior expert who will act as a mentor and share his or her experience, supporting new initiatives and ideas of the Young Blue Minds group of participants.
The logbook will be enriched at each stage and will be presented in Italy and abroad during the stages of Young Blue Minds and on the occasion of other initiatives organized by IOC-UNESCO in the context of the Decade of the Sea.
The day will end in style, involving the local community through artistic and cultural activities, such as the screening of documentaries, theatrical performances and book presentations.
Participate in the third stage in Naples on Saturday 11 March 2023 by filling out the appropriate form:
