Presentation of the “Woman of the Sea Award”

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, we have decided to launch, together with the Donne di Mare and B-Women Associations, the Woman of the Sea Award, an award dedicated to the female figures most committed to our ocean, not only in the scientific field but in all areas.

Since 2022, the Woman of the Sea Award wants to support female ideas in support of the ocean in various fields, from research to art, cooking, entrepreneurship and education. The award is accessible to all female figures committed to safeguarding the ocean and not exclusively in the scientific field. The actor Sergio Muñiz, moderator of the event, gave voice to the award together with Francesca Santoro, IOC-UNESCO Program Specialist, Anna Cogo, co-founder of B-Women Italy, Daniela Addis, president of the Addis Ambiente&Mare Law Firm and associate of Women of the Sea Ets, and Caterina Balivo, Godmother of the Ocean.

The call to participate in the 2022 edition of the Woman of the Sea Award is open until February 15, 2022.
